The MIKASA VLS300 is made of an exclusive, water resistant, micro fiber material which provides that ‘broken in’ softness desired immediately paralleled with the durability and strength required by the world’s best athletes. This ball also offers an authentic MIKASA interlocking stitch technology known as “TwinSTLock” which basically resists the seams from expanding as a traditional machine or hand stitching allows. This innovative technology maintains the true roundness shape of the ball keeping in the highest international standards set forth by the FIVB.
We only use Mikasa volleyballs, simply because it is the best on the market!
We feel that the SKV5 is a better starter ball for beginners. Not only is it a soft ball but also very easy to handle.
Kids Volleyball in Scandinavia has a new way to practice and play where the objective is to be able to choose volleyball as a sport already at a young age. Kids Volleyball may be started at age 6 and the game form is adapted for younger children. A smaller court & lower net is used. There are 4 players on each side of the net and instead of playing normal volleyball, we start with throwing and catching the ball. You rotate each time the ball is thrown over the net so it is a fun game format with lots of movement and a high tempo.
Kids volleyball is adapted to the children’s age and development, but at the same time very much resembles normal volleyball. SKV5 is absolutely perfect for children 6・8 years old, making it easier to learn the basic volleyball skills.
For referees, it is hard to change the most important tool for a referee the whistle. I used a different model for the last 15 years other than Mikasa. Mikasa’s mouth piece is a much better fit for me. The whistle I used before was okay for a small crowd of 5,000 to 6,000 spectators, but not for more than that, because the sound volume could not go large enough.
I love water polo. I made my mind up to go to the Olympics with water polo when I was 10 years old and I told my father. Since then I have been working very hard for the dream. It was really great to play in the Olympics in London last year. Tamas Kasas from Hungary is a player that I look up to.
I like competition, training and team sports. While playing water polo, you get to know the teammates very well in both of their good days and bad days. On a game day, you try to play the best you can to make teammates better, and this is what I like about the team sport.
It is a great ball. We play with this ball day and night. The “Double Dimple” of the BD2000/BDC2000 combines a better gripping power with a gentle touch.
Also, even if you play with the BD2000 / BDC2000 for a long period of time, the ball rebound and its performace are stable. We can use the Mikasa balls for a long time without any problems. This can be said for all the balls produced by Mikasa, but the ball quality seems to be more consistent from one ball to another.
It is important for players to know the ball when you are playing in matches, and Mikasa clearly provides consistent, great quality balls which are good for players.
Mikasa balls don’t change in anything. They are particularly durable. That is why in the neighborhood leagues it is very common to find only Mikasa balls.
Because everyone has already found out that it is the ball that lasts the longest and not only does it last it maintains the roundness of the ball.
This ball is used in EcuaVolley, because it has a good weight and it is slightly hard in the beginning.
The ball is definitely liked by the people and at the professional level. After use, the ball becomes soft.
