The Copenhagen Grand Slam was for the first time placed on iconic Nyhavn in Copenhagen organized by Danish Volleyball Federation. The Tournament was played 14th-16th June. Thousands citizens and tourists came from all over the country to see beach volleyball at the highest level. It was the tournament recorded the highest number of visitors at all time in the history of beach volleyball tournament in Denmark.Among the 16 registered elite teams, Mikasa’s local distributor A-Sport sponsored 3 best teams in the men’s tournament, and all of them were placed 1th, 2th and 3th, consecutively. The Asian Volleyball Confederation （AVC） and Mikasa Corporation have entered a new contract to make Mikasa's indoor and beach volleyballs the Official Game Balls of all the AVC tournaments for 2020 through 2023. MIKASA Corporation and Marta Menegatti, a professional beach volleyball player from Italy, has entered a new sponsorship contract.Marta Menegatti is a professional beach volleyball player aged 22 years old. Although she has been a professional beach volleyball player for only 4 years, in addition to her age, she grew into one of the best and renowned players in the world. Following detailed discussions, the International Korfball Federation (IKF) and Mikasa Corporation have agreed a new four-year sponsor agreement for the provision of international match balls.Under the agreement, for four years from 1 January 2014 all major IKF events will be played with the Mikasa K5-IKF as the international standard match ball.
