MIKASA WITH THE ITALIAN SERIE A VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE UNTIL 2024
Mikasa Corporation has renewed the partnership with The Italian Serie A Volleyball League for the next four years, as believing volleyball would be back from Covid-19 like a phoenix at Italy and then in the world. Mikasa V200W, which made its debut last season, will finally start to be the exclusive official ball of the Serie A Clubs up to the 2023/2024 season to create and offer more lovely and exciting games. Mikasa has been the sole official ball supplier for Serie A matches since the 2012/13 season and it would be forever.
President of the league, Mr. Massimo Righi said “It is with great pleasure that we announce this new agreement. Our thanks extend from Italy to Mikasa’s Head Quarter in Japan, to President Yuji Saeki, for the great act of trust in our and the Club’s work.”

Since the first season together, 2012/13, more than 3400 matches have been played with Mikasa balls, not to mention the matches of the Italian Clubs in the European Cups.
The audience’s descriptive metrics show a bullish trend. In detail, the live audience of the Italian SuperLeague has reached 600,000 units in the last full season (2018-19). At the beginning of the 2019-20 season, those interested in the maximum Italian championship exceeded twelve million (12,178,000) for the first time, with a 3.4% increase compared to the previous season.
